Want to help us expand the database and get a peek under the hood of a digital platform for gender equality?
On November 20th, we are hosting an edit-a-thon workshop at The National Swedish Library for Music, Theatre and Dance in Stockholm. Together we will add more works to the database—perhaps you even have some works of your own that would fit the database?
We are inspired by the tradition of arranging edit-a-thons to help the general public edit databases like Wikipedia, with the aim of evening out gender imbalances and other injustices. This will thus be a great occasion not only to contribute to gender equality in art music, but also to socialize and meet like-minded people!
The workshop takes place on Friday, November 20th at 1 PM until 4.30 PM. You need to bring your own laptop to participate. There will be coffee and snacks!
Following the workshop, KVAST will host a panel talk featuring singer Malena Ernman and musicologist Wolfgang Undorf, moderated by Siri Landgren.
Both the workshop and talk are free of charge but have a limited number of spaces, so contact siri.landgren@kvast.org to secure your place!
