Ingeborg von Bronsart (1840–1913), née Starck, was a Swedish-born composer and pianist, born in St. Petersburg and active primarily in Germany. A student of Franz Liszt in 1858, she enjoyed a successful early career as a concert pianist before focusing on composition. While she wrote piano works, chamber music, and a substantial number of songs, she is best remembered as a pioneering female figure in German opera, with three of her operas achieving notable success.
