Rather than a tight unit synchronized under the conductor's baton, the orchestra becomes a teeming mass of sound – most of it frictional, hissing or percussive. Only toward the end are the musicians gathered in a massive C major chord lasting a full minute. The piece was awarded the 2023 Lilla Christ Johnson-priset award."
