Mathilde Berendsen Nathan

Mathilde Berendsen Nathan (1857-1926) was a Danish-Norwegian composer and pianist. At age 14, she became a student at the music conservatory in her home town of Copenhagen, where she studied piano with Edmumd Neupert. She gave several concerts here before receiving a stipend enabling further studies in Paris, where she became noted for her performances.
